As a photographer, I meet a lot of new people and probably ask way too many questions during a session. I’m genuinely interested in your lives and finding out as much as I can during the quick breaks in between pictures. Today I thought I’d do something a little different and share a few random facts about myself; things you would never think to ask during a session. So dive on in and get to know me a little better!

Get to Know Me in 5 Random Facts

1. As a kid, my dream was to be a fashion designer when I grew up. When I was younger, my family would go to my grandparents’ house for Sunday dinner. I would pull out the catalogs from their newspaper and then go through them and circle all the clothes I wanted to use as inspiration. Ahh, life before Pinterest! 😆
2. I can eat almost anything and actually enjoy it. Having an eclectic taste in a family of picky eaters is not something I would recommend, but I find opportunities to try new foods when I can. One thing I will NOT eat is olives. They’re way too salty and don’t deserve to be on a pizza.
3. I didn’t have crushes on the typical teen heartthrobs when I was younger. I was convinced I was going to marry the little brother from the Disney movie, Motocrossed. Anyone remember that movie?? As an adult, I look back and have no clue what I was thinking. In the end, adult Chelsi has much better taste and I definitely won the husband lottery.
4. I like most sweet treats, but I very much dislike cake. Most of my family knows that if I’m blowing candles out on my birthday, those candles better be on a pie! Give me a pie, ice cream, or heck, even a breakfast pastry, and I’m a happy girl! Bonus fact: My grandparents make me my own pumpkin pie every. single. Thanksgiving. 🥰
5. I met my husband, Steven, when I was 16. I used to play guitar in our church youth band and we needed a drummer–enter Steven. He joined us on a missions trip to New Hampshire and we had the whole week to get to know each other. And the rest is history 🙂
